Dear friend,

I thought you might be interested in this article which appeared in today's AM NY about 43 MacDougal Street, a house in the Charlton-King-Vandam Historic District which GVSHP has been working with neighbors and elected officials to try to get the city and the owner to repair and restore:

GVSHP has been hounding city agencies to take action against the owner and the deplorable conditions at the building, and to make repairs themselves and charge the owner if necessary.  Some city agencies have responded by issuing some violations and promising to make some repairs, but we still clearly have a long way to go (see correspondences at www.gvshp.org/documents/43Macdougal.pdf).  We will continue to keep the pressure on until this horrible eyesore and health and safety hazard is finally repaired.
