2012 House Tour Benefit
Please join us for the 14th Annual Greenwich Village House Tour, a benefit to raise funds in support of GVSHP’s work to educate about and advocate for the distinctive character and irreplaceable architecture of our neighborhoods.
On this self-guided tour, you’ll gain access to seven unique Village homes and sites.
Highlights include: a former horse stable with 1920s era arts and crafts detailing; a townhouse with grand Italianate details and intricate plaster moldings in its triple parlor; a recently renovated Greek Revival townhouse whose untraditional stair placement and rear extension lends the elegant parlor floor a modern look; an impressive Greek Revival whose owner’s Parisian style and impeccable collections blend into an eclectic and fabulous whole; an Anglo-Italianate brownstone with a surprising color scheme in each room; a four-story Greek Revival whose large garden and rooftop oasis emphasize the home’s serene furnishings; and the former studio of Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, just listed on the 2012 World Monuments Watch list.
