GVSHP Virtual Memory Book
What is the memory book?
The GVSHP Virtual Memory Book allows anyone to share their memories and pictures of Greenwich Village, the East Village, and NoHo online with GVSHP and with the general public. It is also a way for any member of the public to read and look through these submissions and learn more about the history of these neighborhoods from a very personal perspective.
What can you submit?
Right now we are asking for submissions describing your first memory of Greenwich Village, the East Village, or NoHo -- when and how you first encountered these neighborhoods, what it meant to you, how it affected you, etc. Written descriptions, photos or scanned images are all welcome.
In the near future, we hope to expand our range of requested submissions, and look forward to an ever-expanding online collection of personal histories and memories.
How can you submit?
To contribute your memory, click here or at right. As we receive submissions, we will expand the Memory Book to include the full text of submitted memories. If you have a corresponding picture, please feel free to attach it to an e-mail submission or e-mail it directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We invite you to use this space to contribute memories of people, places and things that have been important to you and are related to Greenwich Village, the East Village and NoHo.
Should you contribute material to this site please understand that it will be seen and used by others under the license described herein.
