On September 4, 2008, and after a fierce battle lasting weeks, the City Council voted to uphold the NoHo Historic District Extension approved in May by the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC). GVSHP worked closely with the Historic Districts Council, neighbors, and local NoHo groups, and argued strongly for the district to be approved as originally designated by the LPC.
