We will be throwing a weekend-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the designation of the Greenwich Village Historic District (April 29, 1969) with a special kick-off event with performers, speakers, and activities in Washington Square Park on Saturday, April 13th from noon to 3pm. We’re also holding a Greenwich Village Historic District-wide Open House lasting the entire weekend (Sat.-Sun. April 13-14), which includes over 70 participating local businesses, houses of worship, theaters, educational institutions, bars, restaurants, walking tours, and parks, from Chumley's to the Edward Hopper Studio, from Jefferson Market Garden to the Cherry Lane Theatre.
There will be great entertainment for the whole family in Washington Square Park, and an array of deals at local businesses and insider access to some of the most important and beloved local institutions and spaces in the Greenwich Village Historic District.
